About the NDAA

The John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2019 was signed into law on August 13, 2018 in direct response to growing cybersecurity threats to the U.S. As part of the NDAA for Fiscal Year 2019, Section 889 is a federal law that prohibits the procurement and usage of telecommunications and video equipment and services by Huawei Technologies Company, ZTE Corporation, Hytera Communications Corporation, Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology Company, or Dahua Technology Company (or any subsidiary or affiliate of such entities).

Openpath’s Statement

• Openpath is committed to providing NDAA Section 889 compliant products and does not have OEM, ODM, or JDM relationships with the named vendors in the NDAA.

• The following Openpath products do not use or deploy critical components including SoC (System on Chip) produced by NDAA-banned component vendors, and are compliant with the NDAA. These products are recommended for US Government applications that are subject to the NDAA.

• The list of NDAA compliant Openpath products will be regularly updated on Openpath’s website.
